MULTIPLE REALITIES
LUDIC REALITIES Between the 22nd and the 26th of March, 2021, the International Congress of Art, Science and Technology - 6th Digital Arts' Seminar 2020/2021 will take place in a completely online format. Due to the impacts caused by the Sars-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic, the event was reconfigured to have its very first online edition. The congress reaches its 6th edition and has as its general theme "Multiple Realities / Ludic Realities" consolidating itself as an international event with members in its scientific committee composed by doctors from institutions in Brazil and abroad. The participation of eminent researchers from abroad has been taking place since the 2017 edition, and the event has been taking place uninterruptedly since 2015, mobilizing an immense national and international network of groups, institutions (graduate programs), researchers and artists.
The 6th Digital Arts’ Seminar is organized by Laboratório de Poéticas Fronteiriças (http://labfront.tk - UEMG/CNPq) by a committee composed by members of several institutions (UEMG, CEFET-MG, UFSM, UFBA). The 2020 edition is expanded and counts with the support of national development agencies and several other partners such as consolidated research groups in the country and abroad. The theme of this edition was a consensus produced from the present discussions about the reality (social, virtual, increased, decreased, mixed, etc.) in previous editions of the congress. We intend to bring to the debate in Working Groups (WGs), research communications (and production of works of art) from various themes and areas in the field of relations between art, science and technology. The initial adherence to the discussion fields of the WGs is made initially by the proposer of the communication (in summary) on EasyChair, but during the evaluation can be grouped into several WGs (available in the Call for Papers). The plenary sessions and conferences of our congress bring themes from areas of common interest to researchers, professors and public participants of the event (such as Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences among several other areas). Starting with the theme of 2020, we call for the registration of works by master students, masters, PhD students and doctors. In this way, it will be possible to participate broadly in the Seminar from the registration of abstracts in areas of knowledge, which will then be divided, after their acceptance, into Working Groups that are related to the field that we here call digital arts. In its 6th edition the organization of the congress will also accept proposals of artistic works. We have no limitation in the category of work as long as they are recognized in the field of relations between art, science and technology. The artist who submits artwork proposal for the exhibition at the congress does not need to have any kind of academic background (something that is different from the participants in Working Groups, these do need to be master students, masters, doctoral students or doctors). We remind you that, unfortunately, the organization will not have resources for travel, lodging or funding of any kind for the development of the artwork or for the presentation of the communication. For the evaluation of these proposals we expect the sending of artistic projects (about ready-made works of art: performances, videomapping, videos, games, graphic arts, bio-art, software art among several other possibilities in the field of relations between art, science and technology). We also remind you that our congress publishes the complete works in annals with ISSN. This volume is published by Editora da UEMG, a publishing house with competent editorial committee. The volume is also the result of the work of the scientific committee of the event itself, formed by professors from the country and abroad. |
